I definitely feel like i'm starting over, although this is like the third time I have said it so far. This time, hackers decided it was a good time to stop hacking my website, so now I can be productive and update it! It's on a new host, MediaTemple, which is extremely reliable. I put all of my domain names on it and edit them all easier than before. This website itself might be converted to a CMS. It's been a while since I have updated here so I really don't know where to start. I guess I can talk more about school.

I am currently at my second year at Roosevelt University, and I have a completely different perspective about it than when I first entered. This is a really great school and I just think that the people I ran into initially were the wrong people to run into. There are some really cool cats that are piano majors, hopefully I can get some interviews of them on YouTube in the future. There were some great piano performance classes to start off this semester as well. To the left by the way is the promo I made for the Roosevelt University URRU competition which I won. Big shout outs to David Harmon of Steam Styles (steamstyles.com) for helping me out with the editing. Hopefully I will be receiving that $500 gift card soon. I also got the opportunity to talk to Lisa, the head Director of Outreach at RU, and she is really interested in letting me help increase Roosevelt's relevancy over the Internet. I appear to be the lead candidate for the Student Ambassador position, that sounds kind of hot!

I already know it seems like I haven't been updating my YouTube videos in forever, it's true, i'm actually still surprised i'm maintaining myself in the top 70 subscribed musicians on YouTube, even those MTV garbage musicians are barely ranked higher than me. Don't worry though, there will be a LOT of videos coming soon, including my collaborations with one of my best friends, David Weissman, who will be a true beatboxing legend one day. We will have at least 11 videos made with solid tracks that I will make downloadable as MP3's. We are also in the process of creating a website (pianoboxing.com) featuring our talents combined. I will also be collaborating with opera singer Marlene Meier who is a Roosevelt University alumnus.

So what else can I say? It's looking like a good year so far, we'll see what happens, i'm pretty excited to say the least. I guess I should discuss some of the piano solo selections I will be coming out with on video. I will rerecord the Scriabin Etude Op 42. No. 5 again on a 9-foot Steinway, Les jeux d'eau a la Villa D'Este by Franz Liszt, The Sea Song written by Serge Conus, and La Scarlatine by my friend and pianist/chemist Pierre Miller. All this is great stuff, so keep looking out!

Looking back at this page, I didn't realize it had really been that long it has been since I have updated my journal. It's kind of scary actually, to think time can go by this fast. I'll update you guys on a few things that I have been up to and working on lately. Firstly, i'm now studying at Roosevelt University Chicago College of the Performing Arts. It has been an okay experience so far, I haven't been really playing piano up to the level i'm capable of playing. This will all change very soon. It takes me a little while to adjust to a new situation and a new teacher. It's almost a different culture at this school and to be honest I don't get along very well with the students there and my professors. I guess all I can do is keep trying to work hard to improve the situation, school can be a pain. It's really amazing how high of a percentage of the students at this school can have huge egos. I didn't see that at Oberlin, and I didn't see that at Northern Illinois University.

As far as my involvement in the YouTube community, I have stepped it up a little bit. I now have 26 total videos and improved the overall quality of 10 of them. I recorded 10 new pieces in a 3 hour period and uploaded them to my YouTube profile, 8 of them are labeled *Flashbacks*. I released a video blog, Cambry Plays YouTube Volume 2, where I discuss my top 10 musicians so when you get a chance you can check that out as well. I received a great response for the most part, and the biggest support so far I have received from Duke Rightious and Jeff Williams. Click on their names to view their websites, they both offer albums. I decided to postpone the release of my DVD yet a second time, it will now be released July 1, 2007. There were some technical issues with it that I need to deal with and I think that I could provide more content (pieces and interviews) to make the DVD great. Downloads will be coming shortly, i'll have a few available within a week so keep checking back for that page to come up. I would like to continue to thank you guys for your support, the forums will be clean and safe to sign up to as well. If you have any other suggestions or requests, feel free to let me know. Expect some new pieces from composers like Beethoven and Scriabin.

I will be updating this journal pretty frequently, for now, check out my first video blog to your left!

Also if you have anything in mind in terms of what you would like to see me talk about or if you have any other ideas or inquiries, please email JCambry123@aol.com. I appreciate all the feedback that I can get because I would like to improve in whatever way possible. I will be uploading more music within the next 4 weeks again and look out for a lot of variety on the next upload. I plan to upload Etude in C Major by Ahmad K. Aiy who is one of the composers that sent me their music. Also look for me to upload Frederic Chopin's Winterwind Etude, La Campanella by Franz Liszt, Halo 2 Theme Song for the Piano composed by myself, and a Jazz selection as well. If you have any requests also, feel free to let me know what you would like to hear, I listen to all requests and take them seriously.

This website design is 100 times better than the last design, professional designer Alexdrina Chong pretty much did all of it and to me it looks stunning. It doesn't get much better than this at all!

Also look for me to have a show in Chicago in about a month, I will post that recital information shortly to this website, my MySpace profile at www.myspace.com/cambrypiano, or at my YouTube profile which is located at www.youtube.com/cambrypiano. I will also hopefully be making an appearance on the Mark Riley Show on Air America Radio, a national radio show so stay tuned for more details on that also. Once again, thanks very much everyone for checking out my new website and supporting me, I look forward to receiving your requests, pieces if you're composers, and constructive criticisms.
